If you are over 20 years old there are a number of ways you can help the squadron:

To join as a member of Staff we ask that you are available most Monday and Friday evening's and possibly some weekends. No Skills or qualifications are required just plenty of enthusiasm and time to spare. However we are always pleased to hear from people who have a skill/interest they can share with the cadets.

Officer's & NCO's are uniformed members of staff. You will be required to take a formal interview and attend a course at RAF Cranwell within a year of your appointment You will also need to commit to a certain number of hours per month.

Civilian Instructors are non-uniformed members of staff. Less commitment is required at this level. And most of our staff join at this level before deciding on whether they wish to progress into Uniform.

All of our staff are CRB cleared.

If you do not wish to join the Squadron as a member of staff you could join our Civilian Welfare Committee. They meet every few months and make decisions about the welfare of our cadets.
